Smith Discount Books

My first visit into my local discount book store. These ladies greet you upon entering, and I swear you're in heaven. Never seen so many books, such a great variety. Came away with wonderful books and will be back later this week with my best friend to get more. Please give this store a try, the ladies there can answer any questions you might have about any author, you won't be disappointed, Joy

I came in here after my daughters orthodontist appointment today and was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of books! I could spend all day there getting lost in the selection! Definitely will be back! Customer service was great the gentleman was very nice and the lady was very helpful with finding a parenting book for me! I look forward to reading my two books I got Parenting for Dummies and a Steven King Novel Fairy Tale!

It was soooo uncomfortable shopping here. The labeling of books are labeled similar to a grocery store, hanging infront of every aisle. Then there's SOOOO MANY cameras on you, as well as every employee scoping you out to see if you're stealing. The prices are the same as Barnes & Noble overall, priced just a dollar lower from the original retail price. It doesn't really feel like a used bookstore. There's even an 18+ area that was a great reminder from when I lived in Vegas... I attempted "small talk" at the register and it was SO CRINGEWORTHY. The older man very obviously didn't care, lol. Like... at all. I tried complimenting a bookmark we were purchasing and he gave such a random response as if he was listening to Charlie Browns parents, zoning me out, completely. Then his lack of patience for when it came to paying was a fun experience all in itself.... he literally just held his hand out, annoyingly rushing us. I was honestly laughing when I left with how uncomfortable the whole experience was and how oddly rude and creepy they all were.

This family owned bookstore is just about as comfortable in every single way! anytime I am looking for a particular book they jump right on it and find it for me. They have a great selection and are always so kind to find what I need. My husband will go in there and will disappear for hours. I have to go grab him say come on honey. Let’s go eat dinner:) Excellent business with a touch of love !

Check prices!!! "Discount" is a very loose word for this store. Some of the new books I saw were only a dollar off retail value OR in the case of the paperback book for Hunting Adaline where they were selling it for $26.99 and if you look at Amazon it's between $16.99-$18.99 for the SAME BOOK!!! That's price gouging!!! I also saw very used history books that where all marked in ect. And they were outrageously priced as well, we are talking $25-$30. This is just sad. I will definitely be going to different a bookstores or just stick to Amazon, since this store doesn't offer any real discount prices, so be careful when buying your books from here.
